Brazil imposing entry restrictions on some Asian nationals to stop migration to US and Canada

The new restrictions, which will come into effect on 26 August, will affect migrants who require a visa to stay in Brazil. Citizens from those countries, who sometimes land in Brazil but forego their connecting flight, will either have to continue their journey by plane or return to their country of origin.
